Both Sides Retreats combine a range of activities, led by experienced practitioners, designed to foster community and connection with ourselves and the earth that we walk on.
Our male only retreats provide a physical, emotional and spiritual journey for men of all ages and backgrounds to rediscover and redefine masculinity in award-winning locations in the UK and Europe.

Breathwork
Learn to utilise the breath to improve physical performance, reduce stress, promote relaxation and increase focus; led by lead practitioner Anthony Mullally.
Sauna
A traditional method for promoting deep muscle relaxation, respiration and circulation; enjoy a traditional sauna experience to recharge and unwind.
Bushcraft
Learn wood carving and experience the simple joy of crafting objects with your hands from natural materials.
Cold Immersion
Experience the exhilarating clarity that comes with cold water immersion under the complete safety experienced and fully qualified team. Ice baths, ocean, lake or river depending on location.
Foraging
Working with the seasons, we will help you to cultivate a deeper relationship with the natural environment and learn how to spot nutritious edibles in forest, ocean and field.
Fire Circle
The fire circle is at the centre of our retreats, a caring space that fosters deep and meaningful connections. As the day comes to a close and the sun begins to set, we will gather to share our stories, in joy, laughter, sadness and hope, around the fire, as our ancestors have done for thousands of years before us.
Activities will vary depending on location, season, and group dynamic. We do not work to a template meaning no two retreats are ever the same.
Yoga
Enjoy a deep dive into various modalities of the time-honoured practice of yoga with lead practitioner Josh Bolding; including yin, ashtanga, pranayama and more.
Jiu Jitsu
Discover an empowering martial art designed as a defensive discipline. Jiu-jitsu teaches leverage, technique, and mental resilience, demonstrating that strength is not just about physical size but strategy and control.
Community
Escape the stressors of modern life and reconnect with the natural world around you, as you listen to birdsong in temperate rainforests, swim in the brisk cold water of the UK coast, taste seasonal wild foods, and feel the warm glow of a wood fire.

Yes. We regularly welcome men from their early 20s all the way through to their 80s, and the multi-generational spaces are one of the factors that make the retreats so special.

There are no physical fitness requirements to attend a retreat. All of our activities can be tailored to suit individual needs of those participating.

Yes, we can hold bookings with a deposit, with the remainder of the balance paid off at your own schedule.

You may cancel your booking up to two months before the retreat begins for a full refund.
Up to one month before the retreat begins you may transfer your booking to a future retreat.
Cancellations under 30 days prior to the retreat are non refundable.
